This is a fantastic combination trip where you combine a mayan temple with an upclose encounter with the Baboon Monkeys of Belize.
These Howler Monkeys are located at Bermudian Landings and are cared for by several villages who protect them and ensure they live free to live in the tree’s around the villages.
This great combination combines the Altun Ha mayan Ruins and the Howler Monkey Baboon Sanctuary.
Your adventure starts early as you fly from San Pedro to the mainland where you will be met by your air conditioned tour Bus.
You then head towards the Mayan Ruins of Altun Ha where you will have a chance to explore the ruins and hear the history about this ancient ruin site. After Lunch its off to the Community Baboon Sanctuary where 8 villages work to protect the population and habitat of Belize’s Black Howler Monkey, affectionately called “baboons” by the locals.
You will have a tour and then an up close encounter with the Monkeys.
